Find myself looking at it less and less and much more discreet in personal comments. Used to love checking FB a couple times a day. In trying to find important posts from friends now it is much too time consuming to scroll past all the garbage. Also we used to be able to easily hide posts from friends without defriending permanently. Also too commercial now with all the ads inserted in main part. Leads me to believe that a lot of privacy has been lost. Do not need posts on news page of all the comments and likes of my friends' friends. Great way of reuniting and keeping in touch with friends and relatives. Or just don’t offer a marketplace that is running rampant with fraud and scams because it is completely unsupervised and uncontrolled. If you’re going to offer a marketplace, ESTABLISH A FUNCTIONAL CUSTOMER SUPPORT CENTER THAT ACTUALLY HANDLES DISPUTES AND ASSISTS CUSTOMERS WITH THEIR NEEDS. It’s about how easy it would be to resolve this issue, but instead, I’m out $900 and have no one to call and no resolution in sight. It’s not entirely about the money but about the fact that the biggest multi-billion dollar social networking company in the world gives absolutely zero ‘cares’ about the people using their platform. So I’m filing a theft report with the police, if possible, and reporting this to as many news stations, local, national, international, it doesn’t matter. I’ve emailed support for over a month trying to get help and get the same generic response every single time. Facebook promised to give me the money owed to me, but NEVER has. Not only did the person receive my item, with shipping I had to pay for, but they also filed a charge back the same day with their bank. I made the mistake of selling an extremely expensive electronic device via marketplace and shipped it to an out of state buyer. I guess that is the price we pay when we misuse Social Media and our youth are especially vulnerable to that! I heard even Mark Zuckerberg limits himself and his family to the time they spend on Facebook etc… even though it made him a billionaire!įacebook support essentially does not exist and if I can offer you any advice, DO NOT EVER SELL ANYTHING THROUGH MARKETPLACE. It serves a good need in our lives but we must also be careful as Facebook along with other Apps can become addictive and thus cause us not to interact with our loved ones in person. And as I stated before we can connect with old friends on there. It is free also which has helped its popularity on Social Media! But now it’s sponsored posts are getting to be annoying at least to me, so that is the “price” we have to put up with to keep Facebook a “Free App”.īut at the end of the day Facebook gives us the ability to reach our loved ones in real time. News that is happening now either international, political, social events etc… At first before Facebook there was an App called “Myspace” which was similiar to Facebook but it did not grow with the needs of its users! So Mark Zuckerberg and some of his Harvard Classmates( who else but Harvard Students)! Anyway they gave us Facebook which gave us users what we wanted. Old classmates, neighborhood friends, cousins and even family members that I am able to chat with even though we live far apart. But Facebook has connected me to old friends that I have not talked to for years. * Celebrate everyday, candid moments with stories, which disappear in 24 hoursĪlthough Facebook is not perfect, no Apps are in my opinion. * Turn your hobby into a side hustle by becoming a creator or selling things on Marketplace * Customize your profile to choose how you show up and who you share your posts with * Effortlessly create reels from trending templates, or let your creativity shine with a full suite of editing tools * Catch up with friends, family and influencers through Feed and stories * Join groups to learn tips and tricks from real people who’ve been there, done that * Discover creators, small businesses and communities who can help you dive deeper into the things you care about * Watch reels for quick entertainment that sparks inspiration * Personalize your Feed to see more of what you like, less of what you don’t * Shop for affordable and uncommon stuff on Marketplace and take your hobbies to the next level Whether you’re looking for a spark of inspiration with reels or want to dive deeper into something you already love with Marketplace or in groups, you can discover ideas, experiences and people that fuel your interests and help you make progress on the things that matter to you on Facebook.
